Threats of Extremism / Opportunities for Democracy 2011 - 2013 Civic
association Asi-milovani’s project “Threats
of
Extremism/ Opportunities for Democracy – Education towards
Active Citizenship” responds to the social
situation in
recent years, when public activities of extremist groups increased
dramatically and research among students even of wider public
illustrates a 10% support of the programme of the now dissolved
extremist Workers’ Party and its successor party DSSS
(Workers’ Party of Social Justice). This number does not
include supporters of left-wing extremist attitudes, which research has
hitherto not given much attention. Our project responds to these
tendencies by didactic programmes of primary education towards active
citizenship.
